You do not have to enable Public Booking to use Fons for billing and scheduling. Checkout this article on onboarding new and current clients before enabling the public link to see if you really want to use it. Getting started with Fons and Onboarding Current and New Clients

Public Booking Features

  • Embeddable with a widget into your website - How To

  • Clients can now book "No Charge" appointments without creating a Fons account

    • New clients will still have to enter contact info and answer registration questions which providers will still see in their client list

    • Clients without an account will still receive appointment reminders

    • Clients will now have the ability to auto add to their Google calendar

  • Add Appointment options if you want clients to book anything other than their "default appointment" type.

  • Day-of Reminders - Automatically send SMS reminders a few hours before appointments

  • Cancellation Policy - Clients who cancel within this window will still be charged unless you choose "No Policy". Email reminder notifications are sent 24 hours ahead of the cancellation policy setting and a No Policy

  • Pay and Confirm - Automatically charge and confirm appointments requested by clients or turn off for more control over your calendar.

  • Future Booking - Limit how far in advance appointments can be booked

  • Availability Intervals - Show availabilities starting on the 15s, 30s, or hours.

  • Scheduling Blackout - Avoid last minute requests by requiring clients to book in advance

There are 3 Steps to Setup and Use the Public Booking Link

  • Note when testing make sure to be signed out of Fons completely and in your browser use in incognito/Private browsing mode

  1. Setup the Scheduling Settings and appointment options

  2. Enable the Public Booking Link - once enabled you will see your link (what customers will use to book appointments)

  3. Note: If you would like your public booking site to show your company colors and logo, those settings are located under Settings->Organization->Profile

** Optional Settings

  • Registration questions - If you choose to create registration questions, they will show up for new clients and the information they fill out can be found in the client detail note section

  • Custom logo and colors - navigate to Settings->Organization Profile and upload your logo there and pick your color scheme

Step 1: Setup the Scheduling Settings

  1. Login to Fons and navigate to Settings->Scheduling

  2. Click on +Add button to create and save your various appointment options

  3. Also set your review and set any scheduling options

Step 2:  Enable Public Booking

  1. Login to Fons and navigate to Settings->Public Booking

  2. Click on the "Enable Public Booking" button

Note: If you do not select to require payment at booking, the appointment will be charged as soon as the appointments has ended.

Step 3: Setup Office Hours

How to Setup Your Calendar on your Website

Once you have your Public Booking enabled and setup, just copy your custom URL and create a 'Book Now" button on your website and paste the URL there. You can also use specific links for package sales, staff member calendars and workshops.
