Cancellation policy

We created Fons to elevate your career and ensure a provider’s time is valued fully and automatically. This is why Fons enforces your "Cancellation Policy".

Your cancellation policy enforces your "cancellation window" so that you can still get paid in the case of last minute cancellations or you can turn off the policy. If a staff member cancels at anytime there will not be a charge to your customer.

You can make this change to your policy by logging into your Fons account and selecting Settings-->Policies, "Cancellation Policy". You will be able to enter or edit your Cancellation Policy which can be customized for any cancellation window or select No Policy.

Note: Appointments have to be confirmed and a charge associated with them

  • No Policy - Your clients will never be charged, they will still receive an appointment reminder 24 hrs before the appointment

  • Automatic

    • if you select infinity hours the client will be charged no matter when they cancel, after the appointment was set to be. They will still receive an appointment reminder 24 hrs before the appointment.

    • if you select "hours" then the client will be billed after the appointment was set to be, the cost of the appointment or a package deduction, if they cancel outside of your window. Your clients will receive an appointment reminder 24 hrs ahead of your set policy. Example: Your cancellation policy is 24 hours. If your clients cancel their appointment 23-0 hours before their appointment a popup will let them know that they will be charged the cost of the appointment or if the appointment is set to bill a package then the balance would be deducted. You will receive an email confirmation and it will popup in the Todo, you can forgive the charge or just let it charge.
